This program highlights uniquely American artistry and composition, beginning with the world premiere of a new orchestral work by Leonard Bernstein Award-winning composer, violinist and educator, Jessie Montgomery. Then, traditional American musical genres are blended with classical orchestral stylings in Antheil’s bold and complex "A Jazz Symphony" and Chesky’s ode to Americana and folk, "American Bluegrass."
