FREE CONCERT IN MARCH PRESENTED BY THE NEW TEXAS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Dallas, TX – The New Texas Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is performing a FREE concert on March 10 at 3 PM at Moody Performance Hall, 2520 Flora Street, Dallas. NTSO is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary – titled Platinum – this year. The second concert of this season, titled Stars, features music selections inspired by the upcoming total solar eclipse.  

Concert repertoire begins with American composer and conductor Peggy Stuart Coolidge’s (BIO) Spirituals in Sunshine and Shadow. Composed in 1969, the piece celebrates and is inspired by African American blues and spirituals. The next feature will be the winner of NTSO’s Community Concerto Competition. Madeline Hornsey, violin, will perform Édouard Lalo’s “Symphonie espagnole”. Finally, NTSO will perform the familiar and beloved Star Wars Suite by John Williams (BIO), winner of five Academy Awards and one of the most eminent movie score composers in American history. 

The New Texas Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit performing arts group. The mission of the NTSO is to enrich the greater Dallas communities by offering inspiration and entertainment through live symphonic music.
