March 9

Say hello to the start of the Spring by coming down to Sammons Park to enjoy our first Family Weekend of the year! As always, we’ll have a petting zoo, face painting, and a caricaturist offering free drawings of you and your family. We’re happy to welcome the Dallas Animal Services adoption truck back to our campus as well!

Throughout the day, there will be opportunities for your kids to enjoy making crafts with Dallas artist Gloria Agudelo starting at 10 am and Corasonora’s cyanotype workshop starting at 11 am, weather permitting. At 10:15 am, join us for a Rhythm and Movement African Drums dance and workshop, led by Dallas Arts programming and theatre, Junior Players. Then, at 11:30 am, join us at the turf in front of the Flora Cantina for a Storytime with the Dallas Public Library. Make sure to bring your chairs and blankets!

By the end of the event, you’ll be able to pick up your Cyanotype artwork from Corasonora’s art workshop. We hope to see you there! The weather is expected to be mild to a little chilly, so make sure to bundle up.

April 27

Spring is in full swing down at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Join us for a lovely Earth Day Family Weekend in Sammons Park!

Meet and greet the Creepy Critters of Dallas who’ll teach you all about different interesting slimy and scaly creatures. You’ll be able to get up close and hold them with your own hands…if you dare! In between shows, relax and be charmed by internationally recognized singer songwriter, Kamica King, who brings messages of connection and inspiration in her feel-good music performances. We’ll also have our usual petting zoo, face painting, and caricaturist, plus the Dallas Animal Services adoption truck and crafts from the Dallas Library!
