About

Led by Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty and Managing Director Jeffrey Woodward, Dallas Theater Center brings artistic excellence, commitment to education, enthusiasm for building community connections, and a strong vision for the future to the city of Dallas and to the national arts community. DTC’s educational outreach flagship program, Project Discovery, has been recognized for excellence locally, by the Dallas ISD in 2015, and nationally, by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities in 2013, for its service to nearly 300,000 high school students and teachers since 1986.

With a focus on producing musicals, classics, and new plays on the mainstage, DTC continues to grow in stature as one of the most exciting regional theaters in the country. The Theater Center remains fully responsive to the time and place in which we live; to the issues that shape our lives and thoughts; and to the rhythms, images, and contradictions of contemporary American life. From classic scripts to new plays, from epic to intimate, DTC tradition of producing vibrant, excellent theater continues to shine here in the Dallas Arts District.
